I am absolutely THRILLED to share this session with you! Charlotte is an absolute doll, and her sweet family are such wonderful clients! Charlotte has an older brother, whom I also had the pleasure of photographing as a newborn, so mom and I were eager to get all girly this time around. Lace, delicate flowers, bows, soft vintage inspired colors- we had a lot of fun! And what better way to end such a beautiful session, than by finishing up with a good book?!
Thalia and I had a blast with her maternity portraits- and if you've ever been 9 months pregnant then you know that doing anything at that point is typically not enjoyable! The location we used is called The Riparian Preserve, in Gilbert AZ. Pretty outdoor locations are far and few between in the East Valley, but this one is a winner. I love that it's not overly manicured, and that it's not all green- especially for this session since Thalia has that dramatic beauty that stands out, and her outfit that we coordinated was just perfect wasn't it?!
Liesl is an amazing/inspiring/just all around awesome person! As I share photos from her gorgeous maternity session, I'd like to take the opportunity to talk about how we can help ourselves enjoy our own portraits more! Women are truly beautiful, aren't they! As a woman, I really don't enjoy getting in front of the camera -BUT- it's a must! Especially now that I am a mother of three, and one of them being a little girl. And I really want my daughter to be stronger than all the stereotypes and cruel judgements that we all face every day. Unfortunately, helping her, and myself, build our confidence is not an easy task. So, I would like to take a minute to share some ideas that I use to battle this each day. The very top of…
Don't my little clients have the cutest names?! And isn't Sayler gorgeous with all the hair, pouty lips and squishy cheeks?!!! She is 5 days old here and was SUPER alert. Not fussy at all, just very interested in the world around her. I get the feeling that this little gem will make big waves when she is old enough. Welcome to your new home darling girl, you are so loved!!!
Sweet little Zander boy, you are a treasure. You have a very special family that will love you always. Your big beautiful eyes see more than most, your sweet little voice will be heard by many, and your presence will be cherished by all.
ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME?? Lydia, you are a doll!!! Killer smile, AND I got you to fall asleep for a few sweet little wrapped poses! <3

I had a blast in Gilbert AZ with this family of 5. Two boys and a girl, just like mine! And just like my little crew, they are all beautiful little babies that I LOVE to take photos of!! I used to wish I could only do newborn photography, but I am so enjoying all these adorable families. Like newborn sessions, it's a lot of work and sooo rewarding. Just look at those sweet little faces!
I can't even begin to explain how much I adore this family! I have had the blessing of being their photographer for almost 3 years now, and I have loved every minute of it! They are such a genuinely happy family, and that makes my job so easy and enjoyable. Typically I only share a few photos from each session, but I just couldn't help myself, AHH they are so cute!! These photos were taken at Agritopia in Gilbert, AZ. For more information on using the grounds for your own session, please visit http://www.steadfast-farm.com/photography
Loving these gorgeous families!! I'm going to be honest and tell you that family sessions are NOT easy! For me or my clients. Mommas are stressed out and nervous about whether or not everyone will cooperate, dads are usually not too excited about getting in front of the camera, and the kids are distracted and anxious to go and play. But! Family sessions can be a lot of fun, too! A little preparation, good communication with EVERYONE involved (not just mom and photographer), lots of laughter and you'll have a gorgeous gallery just like this one! This was a 20 minute mini session BTW, bonus for everyone that is shy with the camera!
